live respiratory webcast handout

We offer Online ACLS and Live Initial & Renewal ACLS & PALS courses. Courses are located at our office at 1500 W. Abram St., Arlington, Texas 76013 or we do offer an on-site option. See below for course specifics.

Please Note: Failure to study prior to either course will probably result in failure to pass. Prior to class you are expected to be able to identify ECG rhythms, understand the pharmacolgy used in ACLS/PALS, and you must have a valid BLS/CPR card. It is highly recommended you read the entire ACLS/PALS provider manual.

The online course is an initial ACLS course. Respiratory Therapists in Texas will receive 12 live CE credits for successful completion of this course.

Here's how this works:
  1. Purchase HeartCode Part 1 through the AHA website, approximately 6-10 hours to complete
  2. An online provider manual is available, so there is no need to purchase one
  3. Once you complete the online course you will be issued a certificate of completion
  4. Call our office to schedule a time to do the in-person check-off, approximately 45 minutes
  5. You must present the certificate of completion of the online course when you arrive at our office
The check-off consists of:
  • Watch a video
  • Adult CPR Check-Off
  • Bag-mask ventilations
  • Bag-mask ventilations with an oral airway and a nasal airway
We will demonstrate the check-off procedures.

Once the check-off is complete you will be issued an AHA ACLS card.

Live ACLS/PALS Initial Courses: Respiratory Therapists in Texas will receive 12 live CE credits for successful completion of this course.

Initial courses are for healthcare providers who do not currently have a valid ACLS/PALS card. You may opt to take the Initial Course even if you already have a card.

Live ACLS / PALS Renewal Courses:. Respiratory Therapists in Texas will receive live CE credits for successful completion of this course, but only for the number of hours actually in class. This is usually 4-6 hours.

Renewal courses are for healthcare providers who currently have a valid ACLS card.

One Day Only: Approximately 4-5 hours consisting of video lecture, discussion, CPR and Mega-Code checkoff.

On-site/Private Courses: We can bring an ACLS course to your location within the D/FW area. Locations farther than 30 miles from our Arlington location will incur a mileage fee of 50 cents/mile. We will bring all of the required ACLS equipment to your location. Minimum 4 people.

You must provide:
  • Meeting Room
  • AV Equipment, e.g. TV & VCR
  • Coffee & water
You may also have a private class at our office instead of us coming to you.

Card Replacement: ACLS/PALS replacement cards are $15. BLS replacement cards are $10
